I had the pleasure of sitting in with the Desert Island Band with my new tenor ukulele at a fundraiser for the Package from Home folks. Had a great time on a beautiful Arizona winter day. I'm glad I had my lid on to protect my melon from the hot desert sun.
Met a lot of great volunteers who are doing an awesome job supporting out troops by collecting and shipping packages to our troops overseas deployed to hostile combat areas. If you get a chance, stop by their website and have a peak.

I had the honor to be a part of the Sam Rainwater CD release party and fundraiser for the Packages from Home organization. I chose to utilize my 15 minutes in the spotlight on the big stage at Toby Keith's "I Love This Bar and Grill" playing disco songs on the ukulele. We all had a hoot and raised a lot of money for a very worthwhile charity!
